Meet Your Captain
Hi. My name is Mike. I moved to Ketchikan from small town Wisconsin in 2001, and really, I never looked back. I realized the limitless opportunities for adventure and stayed.
Some of my adventures and credentials include:
-
Graduate of National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), an outdoor education school that teaches technical outdoor skills, wilderness medicine and environmental ethics
-
Logged several days kayaking in Prince William Sound, hiking the Talkeetna Mountains and mountaineering glaciers
-
Sailed from Ketchikan to San Francisco, and have participated in many races – most recently the Race to Alaska, a 750-mile course from Port Townsend, WA up the coast to Ketchikan
-
Licensed captain and First Aid certified
If you want to immerse yourself in Alaska’s wilderness by sea, I’m happy to show you the way.
