What type of clothing should I wear?
Like anywhere the weather in Ketchikan can change by the day. Please check out the weather forecast and plan accordinlgly. Here are some considerations:
- Dress in layers with lighter wear under a zip-up or sweatshirt
- Bring a light right jacket
- Wear non-slip shoes
What's included on the tour
We want to make your stay enjoyable. Here are the things that are inlcuded. If there is anything else we can do to make your tour enjoyable, please ask.
Day Trips:
- Beverages (locally-roasted coffee, water + soda)
- Snacks (locally-sourced variety)
- Binoculars
- Rain poncho
- Souvenir
Sunset Cruise:
- Beverages (locally-roasted coffee, water + soda)
- Light appetizers (locally-sourced)
- Binoculars
- Rain poncho
There is power on the boat if you need to charge small electronics. Chargers are not included.
Tips are not included nor necessary, but appreciated as you see fit.
What's your cancellation policy?
Because of the limited seasonal availability of our rentals, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in to receive a 50% refund for all nights. Any cancellation less than 30 days notice will not receive a refund.
What safety precautions to take?
Safety is our number one priority. We are certified in first-aid and CPR and carry a first-aid kit on board. Our navigation and safety systems are up to date and any additional help is only a call away.
Things to consider bringing for your safety:
- Any medications you would need to take during your tour
- Allergy medications (including an Epi Pen for severe allergies)
- Sunscreen
What type of wildlife will i see?
The wildlife in Southeast Alaska is abundant but varies on each tour. We do our best to get to hard to reach places to see the most we can. Be prepared to see any of the following:
- Bald Eagles and other birds
- Whales
- Seals
- Sea Lions
- Otters
- Black Bears
- Brown Bears
